Independent research writing
We are an independent team of research writers, not clinicians. We explain published research and official guidance in plain language for parents and clinicians.
Answer first and explain the evidence
We begin with the question readers came to answer, then describe the evidence, its context, and relevant study limitations. Our summaries are educational and cannot replace advice from a child's healthcare provider.
Sources and citations
We cite factual research claims to numbered sources and prefer primary peer-reviewed studies and official guidelines. Our source lists link to the underlying studies or guidance so readers can examine them directly.
Updates and corrections
We revisit articles when new research or guidance changes the evidence, and we show the date each article was last updated. We correct substantive errors when identified.
Expert insight
We may include clearly attributed quotes from outside clinicians. Each quote identifies the expert by name and credentials and links to their practice. Expert insight is distinct from our independent research summaries and should not be interpreted as clinical review.
Sponsored and affiliate content
We clearly label sponsored content and disclose affiliate links on pages where they appear. Disclosures explain that a commission may be earned at no additional cost to the reader.
